GOD : THE RIGHTEOUS CREATOR
READ IT IN THE BIBLE – GENESIS 1-2; PSALM 145; REVELATION 4
"IN THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED…"
There is one true God. He has revealed Himself to be perfectly holy and righteous, completely pure and hating evil. God has created you and me and all that is. This fact alone means that He has the right to define what our relationship with Him should be. His intent is for us to live under His righteous rule in perfect joy.
ME : THE SINNER
READ IT IN THE BIBLE – ROMANS 3; JAMES 4; 1 JOHN 1
"IF WE SAY WE HAVE NO SIN, WE DECEIVE OURSELVES"
1 JOHN 1:8
Instead of loving and obeying God, we have all rebelled against Him and His authority. The Bible says this makes us His enemies and subject to death and eternal punishment from God. No amount of personal effort or good works can reconcile us with God. Like it or not, this is God’s statement of our true condition. But there is hope…
JESUS : THE ONLY SAVIOR
READ IT IN THE BIBLE – JOHN 10; MATTHEW 28; ACTS 4
"THERE IS SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE"
Here is the gospel truth: even though we are rebels, God, in His great love and mercy, has provided a Savior so that we can be reconciled with Him. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ (Himself fully God), to be born as a man and live a sinless life so that He could be the perfect sacrifice for sin. Willingly dying on the cross, He took on Himself the penalty for our sins. Three days later, He rose from the grave (conquering death itself) and ascended into heaven with the promise of a future return to judge the living and the dead.
RESPONSE : DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO
READ IT IN THE BIBLE – JOHN 3; ACTS 17; EPHESIANS 2
"REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL"
God has graciously provided the way to be reconciled to Him. He commands you to respond to Jesus by turning from your sin and entrusting yourself fully to Him and what He has done for you, humbly receiving Him as your Savior and Lord. Only Jesus can pardon you and give you a new heart from God and eternal life with God.
"We beg you on behalf of Christ,
Be reconciled to God." – 2 Cor. 5:20
