A MINISTRY TO PEOPLE
Biblical counseling is available to all members of Bible Church of Owasso. The Bible calls all Christians to minister the Word of God to others . God has answers for marriage and parent-child difficulties, emotional turmoil, alcohol and drug abuse, financial problems and every other area of life. We want to help you find the joy and peace that comes from knowing and following God and His Word.

THE WISDOM ON WHICH WE RELY
We believe the Bible alone, and specifically, the gospel, is sufficient to address all of the problems associated with living in God’s world. We will fully rely on God’s Word to help understand the source as well as the solution to the problems we face.

THE COUNSELOR
We have both lay counselors as well as pastoral staff trained in the principles of Biblical Counseling. We provide our time and ministry as a service to God. Therefore, there is no charge or fee for counseling, or any financial requirement, actual or implied.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Our counselors are considered trustworthy. Confidentiality is a commitment we make to each counselee. However, there may be times when it is necessary to talk with our pastors and elders, the pastor of your church, or other appropriate people about your particular situation. In those cases, our goal is to help in the resolution of difficult or complex issues. Such consultation will be done only with your prior knowledge.
WAITING PERIOD
There are times when counseling cannot begin immediately. While waiting for counseling times to become available, we will give initial reading and homework assignments so that you can immediately begin seeing and practicing some of God’s solutions to life problems.
LENGTH OF COUNSELING
Counseling sessions typically last 60-90 minutes each week and can continue for eight to ten weeks, possibly more, depending on the matters involved.
COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS
We will make every effort to work within your schedule. Though there is no charge for counseling, we ask that you treat this time as valuable to you and the counselor. Therefore, please make every effort to keep all appointments.
EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bring a notebook and Bible to all sessions. Homework will be assigned at each session. We expect you to complete all assignments before the next session. It is important that you attend a Bible-believing church. If you are not attending such a church, we ask that you attend BCO during counseling, and invite you to consider BCO as your home church.
